Barcode Registration

NOTE – this is a service for barcode numbers that you already own.

Note – Our EAN-13 and UPC barcode packages include barcode registration. Hence the item on this page should only be purchased if you have bought a barcode through another company or an individual barcode number (not in a package) from us.

Barcode registration on the International Barcodes Database is an optional service that we provide. It is not compulsory to register your barcode and product. Your barcode will work without registration. However, it can be useful to register because it improves the profile of your product on the internet. As search engines index the International Barcodes Database, your barcode number and product details will be findable in internet search results. When smartphones scan your barcode, your product and company information will appear connected to your barcode.

    Purchase Registration (for an EAN-13 or UPC-A barcode number that you already own) below. You will be able to register your barcode on the International Barcodes Database (product information submitted to that database will also get submitted to several other main online barcode databases). After we receive your order we’ll email you a request for proof of barcode ownership. When we receive proof that you are the owner of your barcode number we will give you instructions for how to register your barcode.

How registered information looks

For example, the barcode number 0796548106754. If you scan using zebra.barcodesdatabase.org scanner or cut and paste the number into a google search you will find results and even a photo of the product. This can give you more profile on the internet and customers may contact you directly to purchase.

Information will show on ibnverified.org and barcodesdatabase.org as well as on google search results.
